Original Soviet PU scope and mount for Mosin Nagant 91/30 rifle.

Description

This PU was produced in 1943 at Plant NKV no. 357, in Omsk, Russia. It bears serial number 5-32253 (Late 1943/Early 1944). It also shows a rebuild mark that is difficult to make out completely that is a triangle within a triangle and contains “25” within it. All factory applied markings and clear, correct and the filler paint is a proper aged yellow/white color.

Overall the finish of the tube is very good and shows little wear. There is faint surface corrosion on the windage knob. The eyepiece is Silumin and shows minor wear around its exposed edge. The original Mount is complete and shows typical milling marks and a slight plum patina. It is electro penciled with two numbers, one being the rifle serial number it was once attached to. The second number appears to be a different scope number (43-16349).

The scope has leather eyepiece protectors and a canvas holster. The optics are crystal clear and is fully functional.

Overall this is a nice example of an original PU that seems to have seen little to no action and probably spent most of its days in storage.
