FN FAL, 50 Series, Sear Cut, Excellent, RARE!!!

This is a highly collectible and scarce FN/Steyr FAL

This rare Belgium made FN FAL 50.00 (.308 Match) semi-auto rifle imported by Steyr,  Type III receiver which is SEAR CUT.  The rifle has very little wear, shot on a limited basis by the original owner who bought the rifle new in the early 80s.  It has matching serial numbers on receiver and bolt carrier. Included are the 2 new 20 round magazines that came with the rifle.  Factory Sling included.  No box

Receiver markings are: “.308 Match” on the left side of the receiver.     “Fabrique Nationale Herstal, Made in Belgium, Steyr Secaucus, NJ”   The serial number is “2502044”, putting at the very end of the serial number range of the sear cut rifles.

These rifles are very rare with about 2,000 imported by Browning Arms.  These rifles were a direct result of the BATFE attempt to come up with a semiauto only legal FAL receiver. These rifles were approved for import but after these rifles came in the BATFE discovered they were still to easy to convert to FA. The BATFE allowed these rifles to stay legal after they changed the ruling on the receiver and issued a letter stating so.

This is the gold standard of FALs.  It is a true collector grade rifle that will increase in value.  Study the photos closely as its condition is excellent.  There is very, very minor evidence of “brass kissing” on the ejection port side of the receiver.   It has been very well cared for and the photos prove this.  Due to the scarcity of this rifle there is no way to predict the availability of other rifles of this quality in the future.
