Around 8,000 model 1906 American Eagle 30 Lugers were produced between 1906 and 1912. DWM (Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken) were good at marketing. They roll stamped the American Eagle on top of the chamber to stimulate U.S. sales. The first guns were chambered in 7.65×21 mm Parabellum (.30 Luger). Later the 9mm Parabellum cartridge was introduced to American Eagle Lugers.

This pistol bears serial number 46445 putting production in late 1906/early 1907. Original Finish: 75% blue, 20% straw. Very good original walnut grips, 4 3/4” barrel, grip safety. Honest wear throughout and minor surface pitting in localized areas. The bore shows wear consistent with shooting corrosive ammunition. This is a very collectible pistol but not one you can feel bad about shooting.

The breech has the American Eagle on it. The toggle has DWM monogram. The left side has a Crown/B and Crown/U. All visible serial numbers match, two magazines are correct and not numbered.
