Very rare German Panzer instructional manual. The TIGERFIBEL was crew instruction manual for the German Tank, the Panzer VI Tiger heavy tank. Like other manuals designated as Fibel (basic primer), it was intended to summarize what the crew needed to know for day-to-day use of the tank. To capture their interest, it is well illustrated in comic-style and populated with drawings of a semi nude young woman while much of the text is written as poetry in a humorous manner. The Fibel is remarkably different from the typical tedious style of a German tank manuals of that period. The manual was approved by Heinz Guderian, the Inspector-General of Panzer troops. The 92 page manual has a pocket of the inside back cover containing a set of fold out supplements with photos of enemy tanks, their specifications, weak and strong points. The manual is in excellent condition and complete with all pages present and supplemental inserts included. In very uncommon excellent condition. With only 1350 Tiger I tanks produced, and nearly all of them destroyed very, very few of these survived the war. A really rare and exceptional booklet in this condition and highly desirable.
